Week 1 post 3

As the first week finishes up I have to say I am extremely excited to get farther into my learning. I am extremely intrigued with the style of the class because even within the first ten minutes of the first lecture it had me looking at the complexity of philosophy in relation to everyday life. I also feel that I have gone through some internal reflection because I see the gravity of every day choices after we discussed some very controversial hypotheticals and court cases. This has changed my understanding of the topic by adding onto my appreciation and capacity to see each side of moral dilemmas while outlining a basic set of standards/rights.

I have three main questions relating to this weeks learning: Where do I stand between the two main approaches to moral reasoning? How did each philosophers personal bias change their reasoning and the language around their theories? How might society benefit if everyone had a good understanding of these theories and human tendencies... Would we be more emotionally cognizant?

    1. After looking between this one and the existential one that greta is looking I felt that this would be better related to political science and government while still allowing for self reflection and psychological depth.
