week 4 post 3

This week was interesting because it explored the case of surrogacy and if contracts relating to surrogacy are viable.  I enjoyed that because I have never even thought about the moral complexity of surrogacy.  I also really enjoyed how the debate flowed back and forth between students over this topic.  I also thought that learning about the teachings of Immanuel Kant gives me some good insight into a more complex well-thought-out approach to philosophy. Of course, I still have questions regarding his Concepts, but I think it was cool to see a philosopher who could clearly answer objections to his philosophy.

My questions for the week are what do other people object to Kant's philosophy, and is his philosophy applicable to real life situations?  I have my own reasons for believing people should act in a morally just way,  but my question for all of these philosophers is, why should people have to act in the way they say?  I wish they would sell their Concepts more.

    1. This week was split up pretty weird, they were somewhat unconnected philosophies
