Week 10 post 3

I got a little bit carried away with this week because sometimes once I get into the neuroscience sector of research, I fall down a rabbit hole. I really enjoyed this week because it was a combination of both social and scientific approaches and reasoning to politics. I think this week was a good step to developing my argument/points for my ted talk.

Some questions I have are... How did the scientists political believes influence their research? Is bipartisanship a realistic goal at this point? How can we change our education system to encourage dissent and questioning of our government and authority? I know way too many people my age who are submissive to the voices of authority because they have been trained to think they are not granted a voice to create an opinion of their own.

  1. How often do you think scientists' political beliefs influence their research? What about religious or moral beliefs? Can you think of any examples?

    1. Sometimes doctors and scientists ignore the facts behind abortion and they let their moral and religious beliefs interfere with womens rights to bodily autonomy.
